Cape Peninsula Day: Join us on Africa's premier tour route to the romantic meeting place of the Indian & Atlantic Oceans. Sir Francis Drake the explorer called it "the fairest Cape that we saw in the circumference of the Globe" This tour offers a full and exciting day out to the Cape Peninsula. We follow the Atlantic coast line past Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno to the picturesque fishing village of Hout Bay. Here you have the option of going on a 30 minute boat ride to view the seal colony (R50).
Then over the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. On the way back to Cape Town we stop in the historical Simonstown and visit the rare Jackass penguin colony at Boulders Beach. End this magnificent day with a stroll through South Africa’s world-renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Cape Town Township Tour: Discover how the squalor and the deprivation of the townships of a previously disadvantaged community is being transformed and provided with modern schools, clinics, electricity, clean water, liveable homes and sport facilities. Their struggle against apartheid and their endeavours during these difficult years to uplift themselves through the establishment of community centres, and informal trading initiatives like “spaza” shops and “Shebeens”. Witness what is being done about HIV and Aids through aids clinics, youth centres and counselling programs. On the highway en route to Langa you pass the well known historical site, District 6, from which people were forcibly removed during the Apartheid era. Meet the people, feel the warmth and discover the truth. This tour is a moving, learning experience, where you meet the real people of the real South Africa. A portion of the tour price will be contributed to a community project.
Panorama Tour : Depart after breakfast for a full day of sightseeing as you travel along the Drakensberg escarpment. The scenic Panorama route takes you to the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes and the nostalgic village of Pilgrim's Rest. Continue on our decent down the mountain into the Lowveld, a subtropical paradise of fruit. Indulge in nature's beauty before you return to your hotel.
Johannesburg and Soweto City Tour : The tour is designed to give the visitor to Johannesburg an overall impression of "Egoli" - the City of Gold, South Africa’s commercial and financial capital. Take a look around the suburbs of Houghton, Parktown and Hillbrow, then on to the hustle and bustle of the downtown area which could so easily be termed the New York City of Africa. Continuing to Soweto (SOuth WEstern TOwnship), largest black residential area in South Africa, you see a fascinating contrast to Sandton and Rosebank in the north east. This “city within a city” consists of 50 suburbs, or sections and your tour route takes you to all the major points of interest, such as Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Baragwanath taxi rank, Freedom Square, Hector Peterson Memorial and Nelson Mandela’s former home. |
